our founder

Anahera, a name given to her from her Maori family in Aotearoa, (also known as New Zealand), started dancing before she could even walk! As a child she would watch her sisters perform Maori poi balls and asked her father to find her a Maori dance school in California. Her father found a Polynesian dance school that taught traditional Hula and Ori Tahiti, and she convinced her parents to enroll her. Her curiosity for these beautiful Polynesian cultures and dance quickly turned into a passion.

She has studied under many legendary Polynesian dancers, and was a student of Ori Tahiti dance at the Conservatoire Artistique de Tahiti in Papeete, Tahiti. She recently spent 4 months studying Ori Tahiti, training and performing in the Heiva i Tahiti 2018 with the prestigious group Hei Tahiti under the legendary Tiare Trompette. To this day, she considers this the greatest honor of her dance career. Because she views Polynesian dancers as not only entertainers, but cultural ambassadors, she decided to start her own company in Los Angeles as a way to preserve, honor, and pass along the stories of our Polynesian ancestors.

She has over 20 years of dance and performance experience and has been dancing professionally in Los Angeles & Hollywood for 7 years. Aside from dancing, she loves to help plan the perfect Polynesian luau with her clients and make their events as unforgettable as possible. She has had the honor to work with many corporations, media companies, celebrities and party planners in Los Angeles, including Wayne Brady, The Kardashians, Mindy Weiss, NBC, KTLA, YouTube, E! Network, and many more!

Whether it’s for your family reunion, or a red carpet movie premiere, Anahera will make sure every detail is accounted for to make your event the most exciting, memorable, authentic experience that you and your guests will never forget!

What our logo represents

Copyright Mohea Entertainment Logo By Manu Farrarons

Our logo, redesigned by world renowned-Polynesian tattoo artist, Manu Farrarons, is the traditional symbol of Vai Pahu. Vai, means water, and Pahu, the drum. Like Polynesians, we believe that all humans are connected by water and music. We love being able to share the Polynesian culture throughout the world. The Pahu, like our heartbeat, beats loud and strong for the love our culture. We share the stories of our ancestors through the beat of the drum and the sway in our hips. We strive to preserve and share the Polynesian culture through our dance.
